Police Search For Honda In Elkridge Halloween Hit-And-Run
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a 64-year-old Elkridge man was injured in a hit-and-run on Halloween, Howard County police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information.
Police responded around 7:30 p.m. to the 8000 block of Green Tree Court.
Witnesses reported that a white, two-door Honda Accord with dark tinted windows pulled up to the court and a child got out.
The car sat while the child went from house to house trick-or-treating alone.
The Honda then sped through the court, where neighbors were having a block party, to pick up the child. Neighbors say they told the driver to slow down.
After the child got back into the car, the driver took off again, hitting the man.
The man was transported to Howard County General Hospital and has since been treated and released.
Police do not have a description of the driver of the car. A female passenger who exited the car to pick up the child was described as a black female in her early 20s, wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap with an "NY" logo.
During the incident, the driver's side mirror was knocked off the car. It was recovered at the scene. Witnesses were not able to obtain a tag number.
Police have been actively investigating the incident, but have not been able to identify the car or the people involved. Anyone with information should call Howard County Police at 410-313-3200.
