Police Say 8-Year-Old Dies Following Two-Vehicle Collision

CHILLUM, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say an 8-year-old boy has died after a car crash in Prince George's County.

County police tell news agencies the boy died of injuries on Monday. He was a passenger in a car which was involved in a collision on Nov. 5.

Police say the car crashed into another vehicle while turning right on the street where the boy lived.

A second passenger was critically injured. Both drivers and additional passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have said they do not consider speed or alcohol to be factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
