Police Say 47-Year-Old Woman Killed In Capital Beltway Crash

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a woman has died after her car veered off the Capital Beltway and hit a guardrail.

Police say 47-year-old Veronica Denise Edmonds of Upper Marlboro was killed in the crash early Sunday morning. Investigators believe fatigue was a cause of the crash about 3:45 a.m.

Police say the car veered across three lanes and hit a guardrail. No other cars were involved in the crash. Edmonds was pronounced dead at the scene.
