2 In Custody Following Police Pursuit In Baltimore County
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police have taken two people into custody after a police chase in Baltimore County.
County police received a call from police in Newport News, Virginia to look for a silver Toyota Scion that may have been involved in a homicide in Virginia Friday morning.
They believed the car may be headed to the Essex area.
Officers located a car in the area of Back River off of Eastern Boulevard in Essex and followed it to the Parkville area where they tried to pull the vehicle over.
But the driver fled and it initiated a pursuit.
The Scion sped through parts of Baltimore City, Parkville, White Marsh and Essex before officers surrounded the vehicle in the 12500 block of Eastern Avenue near Ebenezer Road.
A female driver and a male passenger were placed into custody around 1:07 p.m.

Police said during the pursuit a number of items were thrown from the Scion, including ammunition and two long guns.
Officers have found those items and photographed them as evidence.
No one was injured during the pursuit.
Newport News police reported the fatal shooting of a man inside a Hampton home around 3:13 a.m.
