Police: Newspaper Vendor Stabbed Man Outside Metro Station

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for an Express newspaper vendor who they say stabbed a man outside of a Prince George's County Metro stop.

Police say 50-year-old Daniel Richard Brown is being sought on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the Thursday morning incident.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says Brown argued with, and then stabbed, a 24-year-old man at the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant station in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. He was in stable condition as of Thursday evening.

Stessel says Brown, who lives in Temple Hills, is a contractor with Express' parent company, The Washington Post. A newspaper representative said the company is looking into the incident.
