Police Near Washington Charge Man In 2 Homicides Within Days

WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington-area police departments say a man has been charged in two homicides.

Both Montgomery and Prince George's County police say 24-year-old Furl John Williams was arrested Tuesday and faces murder charges from two incidents.

Montgomery County police say Williams is charged with home invasion and murder after fingerprints found during a carjacking investigation linked him to an April 29 shooting north of Washington in Germantown. An investigation showed two armed men robbed two people there before shooting and killing one of the victims.

Prince George's County police say Williams is also charged in the May 3 fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man at a Maryland gas station southeast of Washington.

Williams is being held without bond in Montgomery County. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
