Police: Man Used Taser To Rob Woman

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police have arrested a 56-year-old man accused of using a Taser to rob and threaten a woman.

Steven Vincent Allen faces charges of armed robbery, robbery, first and second-degree assault, petty theft, and other related charges.

The Baltimore County Police Department reports he used a Taser during a robbery of a 66-year-old woman on April 21.

The robbery took place in the parking lot of the Bank of America located in the 5200 block of East Dr. in Arbutus.

Police say Allen was wearing a distinctive red and black Nascar jacket and racing cap, and reportedly put a black taser to the victim's next and threatened her.

The woman pushed the robber, and they both fell to the ground. The items in her purse spilled onto the ground, and the robber left with $9, but left the Taser behind.

Police searched the area and found the Nascar jacket and hat in a nearby storm drainage ditch.
