Police: Man Sprayed With Mace, Stabbed In Glen Burnie

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 48-year-old man was hospitalized after authorities say two men attacked him in Glen Burnie early Friday morning and then stabbed him in the gut.

Officers responding to a stabbing near the intersection Crain Highway and 8th Avenue after 5:30 a.m. found the victim with a stab wound to the stomach, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim told investigators two men sprayed him with mace before stabbing him. It was not immediately clear why.

The victim was rushed to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment, but he is expected to survive.

Police could not find the suspects during a subsequent search of the area surrounding the scene.
