D.C. Police ID Man Slain By Officers Serving Warrant

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police have identified a murder suspect who was killed in a shootout with officers.

Police say 19-year-old Daquan Hendrix of Hyattsville, Md., was fatally shot Tuesday morning on K Street, Northwest, a few blocks north of Union Station.

Hendrix was wanted for the slaying of Tykia Dickerson, 19, last month.

Police say officers on a regional task force tried to arrest Hendrix on Tuesday morning when he pulled a handgun and opened fire. The officers returned fire, and Hendrix was killed. No officers were injured.
