Police: Man Shot in Southwest Baltimore Dies

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man has died after being shot in Southwest Baltimore Tuesday evening, authorities said.

A shooting reported after 6 p.m. brought officers to the 3000 block of Elgin Avenue where they found a man shot multiple times, according to police.

Paramedics rushed the man to Sinai Hospital for treatment, but he did not survive.

About an hour prior to that shooting, officers were called to a local hospital after a man walked in with a gunshot wound to the ankle, police said.

At last check, police had not yet determined where exactly the shooting took place.
