Police: Man Shot In Botched Armed Robbery
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 33-year-old man was shot Monday night while trying to fend off an armed robbery attempt in the Baltimore Highlands neighborhood, according to police.
Officers called to the scene of a shooting in the 3500 block of Noble Street found the victim conscious with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim told investigators he was walking along Noble Street when someone confronted him at gunpoint, demanding cash. He said the suspect shot him when he tried to put up a fight.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In a separate case, patrol officers were called about 9:30 p.m. after a shooting victim walked into an area hospital. The 32-year-old woman was treated for graze wounds to her upper and lower lips and released. Police suspect that shooting happened in the 700 block of Lyndhurst Street.
