Police: Man Shot Answering Door In Silver Spring
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police are investigating the shooting of a man who they say was attacked after answering the door of his Silver Spring home.
Authorities say the unidentified man was seriously wounded Thursday evening.
A Montgomery County Police Department spokesman says the victim found two men at his door, who apparently tried to force their way into the house. The victim told police one of the suspects shot him when he tried to shut the door.
Both attackers ran off, and the victim was able to call 911. Police said late Thursday the victim is in serious condition.
