Police: Man Shot After Intervening In Domestic Dispute

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — Police say a man was shot after trying to intervene in a dispute between a husband and wife.

The Westminster Police Department says 31-year-old Angelo Johnson was shot in his back and right leg by Dustin A. Forson late Friday. They say Johnson is in stable condition.

Police say Johnson lives with Forson and his wife and tried to intervene in a fight between the two of them. They say that after Forson asked Johnson to leave the house, Johnson began flattening the tires of Forson's car. Police say Johnson then shot two rounds from a shotgun out a window of the house, hitting Johnson.

Police say Forson will be charged with assault and reckless endangerment. It was not clear Saturday whether he has obtained an attorney.
