Police: Man Entered U-Md. Dorm Room, Touched Woman

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- University of Maryland police say they've made an arrest after a woman woke up in her dorm room to an intruder touching her.

Police say 21-year-old Colby Dean of Centreville was arrested on Friday. He faces charges including second-degree assault, burglary and fourth-degree sex offense.

Police say residents of Anne Arundel Hall granted Dean access to the building early Friday morning. Police say he went to the fourth floor and entered three unlocked rooms.

In one room, police say a woman reported that while she was sleeping, she awoke to a hand touching her inappropriately. The woman yelled, and the intruder fled.

Dean has been released on bond. No attorney was listed for him in online court records, and a phone number for him could not immediately be found.
