Police Looking For Three Teens Wanted In Jewelry Store Robbery

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County police are searching for three suspects wanted in an armed robbery of a Columbia jewelry store.

According to police, three teenage suspects entered the Edward Arthur Jewelers at the Mall at Columbia around 8:32 p.m. on Jan. 5 and used hammers to break the glass of two displays and stole watches.

An employee confronted them, police said, and a suspect threatened him with a hammer. The suspects then fled.

No one was injured.

The suspects are described as young men, possibly in their late teens. The first suspect is about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds and wearing a black hate and hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is also around 5-foot-9 and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The third suspect was taller at 6 feet, 170 pounds and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Police are asking anyone with information to call (410) 313-STOP. A reward of up to $500 is being offered for information.
