Police Looking For Hit-And-Run Driver That Left Man Hospitalized

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- City police detectives hope the public can help them locate a vehicle and driver involved in a hit and run.

According to police, an officer was driving eastbound in the 3500 block of E. Northern Parkway around 4:45 a.m. when he had to swerve to avoid hitting a body lying in the street.

The officer stopped his vehicle to aid the 26-year-old man.

The man was unconcious and suffering from head trauma. He was taken to Johns Hopkins where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives have no information regarding the suspect's vehicle and are asking anyone with information regarding this hit and run accident to call the crash team at (410) 396-2606 or dial 911.
