Police Looking For Arson Suspect In Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WJZ)—Police in Prince George's County are seeking the public's help in locating an arson suspect believed to have set a fire inside a local dollar store.

The incident happened on Saturday just before 1:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar Store located  in the 9000 block of Central Avenue, in Capitol Heights.

Police say witnesses report a suspect set the fire to combustible materials in the store to cover up a theft.

The first was contained by an active sprinkler system and the assistance of an employee inside the dollar store.

No one was injured in the incident. Police say the damaged is estimated at $2,500.
