Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in West Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting on Sunday evening, that killed a 22-year-old man.

It happened at around 5:20 this evening as officers arrived at the 600 block of Yale Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Officers found a 22-year-old man who had been shot in the torso. The young man was taken Shock Trauma though her later died.

Police say their preliminary investigation shows that the man who was shot may have been in the area attempting to purchase drugs. He was in his car and attempted to drive away when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim crashed the car after being shot.

Homicide detectives are investigating this murder.
