Police Investigating Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrian In Laurel

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Laurel Wednesday morning.

Police say around 6:24 a.m. in the 9700 block of Washington Boulevard, a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound when it struck a pedestrian.

The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The 47-year-old driver Frank Thomas Lee was not injured.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Northbound Washington Boulevard remains closed at Whiskey Bottom Rd; southbound Washington Boulevard remains closed at Maier Rd as police continue the investigation.
