Police Investigate Killing Of Man In His Home
ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) -- Police in Baltimore County are investigating the killing of a man in his Essex home.
According to police, officers were called to a home in the unit block of Sparton Drive around 11 a.m. Wednesday for a cardiac arrest.
When they arrived, they found a man who suffered traumatic injuries to his upper body. He was declared deceased.
The man's ex-wife came to the home to check on him after family members said they couldn't contact him. She told police when she entered the home, he was lying on the floor.
The man was identified as 78-year-old B.G. Ledford, of the same address.
Police are working to determine if this was a targeted crime.
