Police Investigate Death After Man Is Shocked With Stun Gun

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of a man whom officers had shocked with a stun gun two days earlier.

Officers say 40-year-old Dajuan Graham of Burtonsville died Tuesday at a local hospital, where he had been taken Sunday after police encountered him in Silver Spring.

Investigators say officers received a report of a man, whom police identified as Graham, acting erratically.

Detectives say two officers saw Graham standing in the road after a woman reported that Graham had punched her.

Authorities say Graham refused officers' demands to take his hands out of his pockets. One officer deployed his Taser, police say, and Graham dropped to the ground.

Investigators say Graham was taken to the hospital, where he became combative. Police say he died in the hospital on Tuesday.
