Police in DC seek robbers dressed as turtle, skeleton

WASHINGTON (AP) — Police in Washington say they're looking for two people who donned apparent Halloween costumes and used "force and violence" during a robbery.

Media outlets report that it happened Sunday night in the 300 block of U Street northwest, near a Howard University dorm.

Police say a person was robbed by a man dressed in a green and yellow turtle costume, a second man dressed as a skeleton and a woman in her 20s, who was apparently not in costume.

Police categorized it as a robbery by force or violence, meaning that property was taken from a victim who may have been pushed or struck.
