Police ID Woman Found In Burning House

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A woman found in a burning house in Baltimore last week has been identified by police.

Police believe that 52-year-old Patricia Lea Tracey was murdered before she was found at the scene of a fire in the 4400 block of Furley Avenue on the morning of Oct. 28.

The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. and when fire investigators got to the scene, they found Tracey's body inside the home. She was brought out, but was already dead.

The Medical Examiner's Office ruled the incident a homicide and believes the victim died of physical trauma.

Neighbors told WJZ that they hadn't seen the victim for days.

"After five days I hadn't heard from her. I used to see her every day, haven't heard from her after five days," Terry Henderson, who knew the victim, said.

Police are still looking for the suspect in this homicide and at this time there are no updates about the cause of the fire.

Anyone with information should call police at 410-396-2100.
