Police: Frederick Man Grabbed Woman, Struck Officers

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A Frederick police officer has used a stun gun to subdue a man accused of grabbing a woman's crotch and then striking two officers.

Authorities say a woman flagged down authorities on Tuesday morning after she said 29-year-old Eden P. Weeks of Frederick had grabbed her.

Police say Weeks became violent and struck Officer Scott Shepardson and Officer Simon Temple.

According to a news release, Shepardson was able to use a stun gun to detain Weeks.

Weeks was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for an evaluation before being transported to the Adult Detention Center for processing.

Weeks is charged with fourth-degree sex offense, two counts of second-degree assault and disorderly conduct, according to online court records. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
