Police: Cumberland Man Assaulted Woman With Remote Control

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — A 32-year-old Cumberland man has been accused of assaulting a woman with a remote control.

The Cumberland City Police Department said in a news release that Sean S. Williams was arrested Saturday night and charged with second-degree assault.

The unidentified woman told officers that Williams struck her in the head with the remote during an argument inside a Cumberland residence. She says Williams also picked up a golf club and threatened her with it.

It is unclear whether Williams has an attorney.
