Police: Couple's 3 Children Were At Home When Husband Shot, Killed Wife

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 54-year-old man is in custody after police say he shot and killed his wife in their house while their three children were at home.

Late Wednesday night, the Harford County Sheriff's Office says three deputies responded to the 2300 block of Windswept Court in Fallston.

They found the victim, 48-year-old Lara Muscolino, suffering from multiple gun shot wounds to the upper body.

She was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The children were not injured in the incident.

While deputies were still at the home, the suspect, 54-year-old Ricardo Muscolino, turned himself in to deputies. He was detained pending further investigation.

Investigators will continue to try to determine a motive in the case.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Detective Seth Culver at 443-409-3498.
