Police: Clowns In Annapolis Is A Hoax, Kids Admit to Lying

ANNAPOLIS (WJZ)--Police in Annapolis say the reports of people dressed as clowns in Annapolis is false after kids admit to making the story up.

Police initially reported Monday night that a few children reported seeing someone or possibly more, dressed in clown costumes with face paint on in Annapolis. The children reported incidents that occurred as far back as Thursday  in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive, Bens Drive near Victor Parkway, and the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue.

There have been similar reports made in other states.
