Police Charge Md. Man In Del. Home Invasion

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) -- Police in Delaware have charged a Maryland man they say was stabbed during a struggle with two men shot during a home invasion.

New Castle County Police announced Thursday that they have charged 27-year-old DJavon Holland of Fort Washington, Md., with home invasion, assault, aggravated menacing and other offenses.

Police say Holland was wearing a mask when he broke into an apartment at the Hampton Walk Apartments in the New Castle area on Tuesday night and shot two men. As the three men struggled, Holland was stabbed.

Police say the two men who were shot and a third person assaulted at the apartment were treated at Christiana Hospital and released, but Holland, who was admitted in critical condition, remains in custody at the hospital.
