Police Arrest Suspect in Deadly Double Shooting in Essex

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Homicide detectives have arrested a 21-year-old transient man in connection with a January double shooting in Baltimore County that killed a 25-year-old Essex man and injured another, authorities said.

Police are still searching for a second suspect in that shooting.

Sadiq Torrez Heyward is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, according to police.

Investigators suspect Heyward and someone else shot Antonio David Truesdale and another man during a dispute in the unit block of Valley Arbor Court just before 2 a.m. on Jan. 26. Truesdale did not survive.

The other victim was treated and later released from the hospital.
