Police Arrest District Heights Man After Ellicott City Bank Robbed

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Howard County Police arrested a Prince George's County man on Saturday after he allegedly robbed an Ellicott City bank.

The suspect walked into the Hamilton Bank branch, located in the 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike, at some point and demanded money, witnesses told police.

Afterward, the suspect took off and someone called 911 about 12:47 p.m. to report the robbery, according to police.

No one was hurt.

Police later tracked down the suspect's vehicle to a location on Twin Knolls Road in Columbia and took him into custody.

Allan Donnell Kemp, 37, of District Heights, is charged with armed robbery and related offenses.

It was not immediately clear whether Kemp had an attorney.
