Police: 2nd Suspect Arrested in Sex Assault of 2 Women

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to an armed carjacking and sexual assault of two women in West Baltimore last week.

Baltimore police announced the arrest the arrest on social media that Levi Bonds, 18, is now in police custody.

Quamontae Johnson, 17, was arrested on Friday for his involvement in the crime.

Investigators say Johnson and Bonds, robbed two young women at gunpoint near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Druid Hill Avenue, and forced them to drive around for more than an hour.

The suspects made several calls to contacts in the women's cell phones, demanding ransom, BPD Detective Jeremy Silbert told WJZ last week.

The ordeal ended in a West Baltimore alley, where Johnson and Bonds allegedly raped both women and then ran away.

Johnson was also charged as an adult in the vicious attack that happened on Thursday, August 18. He now faces more than 50 counts, including first- and second-degree assault and rape.
