Police Arrest 2 Accused Of Illegally Recording 'Fate Of The Furious'

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Authorities arrested two men accused of illegally recording "Fate of the Furious" on its opening night in theaters.

35-year-old Floyd Lee Buchanan and 38-year-old Troy Montgomery Cornish were charged after police say they were found with recording equipment.

The call came into the Anne Arundel County Police Department just before 7:30 p.m. on April 14.

Officers responded to the Hoyts Movie Theater, located at 1591 W Nursery Rd. in Linthicum, and met with an investigator from the Motion Picture Association of America.

He told officers he had spotted two known piracy suspects and saw them illegally recording "Fate of the Furious", the newest movie in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise.

The suspects were detained, and during a search, authorities report finding recording harnesses under their shirts that were actively recording the movie.
