Police: 63-year-old Man Arrested In Baltimore Shooting

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Authorities say a 63-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Baltimore.

In a statement, the Baltimore Police Department says Fu Tan was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree attempted murder in the incident.

Police say officers in the area heard gunshots around 6:24 p.m.

Responding officers found a 28-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his calf.

Police say the victim told officers that he was shot in front of Sun Hing Chinese Food Carryout. The Baltimore Sun reports that state property records list Tan as the owner of that restaurant.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Police say they've also recovered the handgun that was used in the shooting.

It isn't clear if Tan has an attorney.
