Police: 1 Teen Dead, 2 Hospitalized After Fatal Car Crash

WALKERSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- One teenager has died and two others are seriously injured after a single-car crash in Walkersville.

Police say the accident took place Sunday afternoon.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Christian Thomason, was driving the car at high speed before losing control. The car went up an embankment sideways and crashed into a telephone pole. The vehicle then barrel-rolled several times before landing on its roof.

Thomason died at the scene and the two other teens were flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The accident is being investigated.
