PNC Transformative Art Prize Winners Announced

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- The winners of the 2015 PNC Transformative Art Prize Award are Baltimore Clayworks, Collective Minds, Force, Section 1 and Southeast Community Development Corporation.

"We are excited to partner with the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts to offer the city's communities the opportunity to create transformative art to invite more residents and businesses to our communities," said Laura Gamble, PNC's regional president for Greater Maryland.  "This is another way PNC shows our continued commitment to community and economic development."

The annual award, which supports Baltimore neighborhoods in their efforts to enliven their public spaces with high-impact art, is a program of the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. It is  made possible through a partnership with PNC bank and the Baltimore City Department of Housing & Community Development.

"Baltimore Housing is honored to be a part of this initiative that allows an artists' imagination and creativity to strengthen our neighborhoods," said Housing Commissioner Paul Graziano.  "These lasting art projects provide welcoming gateways into our burgeoning communities and will ultimately serve as icons of Baltimore."
