Pizza Delivery Man Assaulted, Robbed Of Pies In Severn

SEVERN, Md. (WJZ)-- A Papa John's pizza delivery man was assaulted and robbed of his pies in Severn.

It happened Wednesday just before 4 p.m. in the 7900-block of Citadel Drive.

The male victim said he responded to the area to deliver two pizzas.  As he walked up to a door, he was approached from behind by the four suspects. One suspect punched him in the back of his head, causing him to fall and strike his head against a wall.

The suspects then grabbed the pizzas and ran off on foot.

No other items were taken.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Officers and K-9 searched the area, but the suspects were not located.
