Prince George's Police Seek Beloved Dog Stolen From Greenbelt Home

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- Police are asking for the public's help to find a beloved dog snatched from its owner's home in Prince George's County.

Police said Friday that someone stole Arwyn, a 10-year-old boxer, from a Greenbelt apartment sometime between 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. They also stole a diamond ring, a laptop and other electronics.

Pleas for Arwyn's return have been posted on Facebook and Twitter, with the hashtag #FindArwyn.

A Facebook post by police asking the public to help them bring Arwyn back to her worried owner had nearly 700 shares and drew dozens of outraged comments by lunchtime Friday.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-390-2160.
