PG County Officers, Firefighter Rescue Man From Burning Car

SUITLAND, Md. (WJZ)—Emergency crews in Prince George's County rescued a man after his car became fully engulfed in flames on Friday.

It happened around 12:30 a.m.  in the 2000 block of Lakewood Street.

Police say as they arrived on the scene a car could be seen fully engulfed in flames. Authorities say they quickly learned that a driver was still stuck inside the vehicle and raced to pull him out.

With tires exploding and intense flames, four Prince George's County police officers and a firefighter were able to rescue the victim.

Police say the man suffered severe burns and internal injuries and was transported where he remains in critical condition.
