Person Of Interest in Custody In SW Baltimore Double Shooting

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police have a person of interest in custody following a double shooting reported in Southwest Baltimore Monday evening, authorities said.

Officers were called to a shopping center, located in the 2400 block of Frederick Avenue, about 6:40 p.m. where they found a 19-year-old woman shot in the left shoulder and a 23-year-old man shot in the stomach, according to police.

Both victims were taken to the hospital but are expected to survive.

Detectives, meanwhile, have taken a person of interest into custody. Still, police said the investigation remains open and ongoing.

About a half hour prior to that shooting, officers were called to a shooting reported in the 200 block of Mason Court, according to police.

That's where they found a 19-year-old man who had a graze wound to his right arm.

At last check, he was being treated at a hospital.
