Person Loses Leg After 83 Accident

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An accident on the JFX near Ruxton Road ended with catastrophic injuries for one person.

It happened just after 5 a.m. Sunday.

Maryland State police say two people got out of a disabled car at the city/county line. As they were standing between the car and the guardrail, another vehicle slammed into the car, pinning one person and throwing the other over the guardrail.

The person pinned lost a leg.

The conditions of those people aren't known.

The driver of the second car wasn't hurt.

The road has been cleared.

An accident investigation is underway.
