Person Found Dead Between Roads May Be Hit-And-Run Victim

BERLIN, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a person who was found dead in a grassy ravine between roads in Berlin may have been the victim of a hit and run.

The agency said in a news release that on Friday afternoon, a driver stopped to investigate what he thought was a dead deer between Maryland Route 707 and Route 50. Troopers say the driver called 911 after seeing it was a person's body.

Police say debris found at the scene indicates the victim might have been hit by a car.

Investigators ask that anyone with information about the incident should call state police.
