Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Oxon Hill; Driver Sought

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police are looking for the driver who failed to stop after hitting and killing a pedestrian in Oxon Hill.

It happened about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on Livingston Road. Officers say 60-year-old James Arthur Sanders of no fixed address was standing in the road, not in a crosswalk, when he was hit by a car traveling north. Investigators say the car did not stop.

Officers found Sanders in the road. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Police describe the striking car as a gray or white Ford Mustang with a racing stripe, possibly with front end damage.
