Boston University Over Loyola 87-72

BALTIMORE (AP) -- John Papale did not miss a shot while scoring 20 points to lead Boston University to an 87-72 victory over Loyola (Md.) on Saturday night.

Maurice Watson, Jr. hit a 3-pointer to open the second half, giving BU a 45-29 lead.   Loyola had a 16-8 run to pull within 63-57 with 5:56 to play.  Papale then hit four-straight treys to stretch Boston's lead to 75-59 with 3:39 remaining.   The Terriers made 10 of 10 free throws down the stretch to seal it.

Papale finished 7 of 7 from the field, including six 3-pointers.  Cedric Hankerson scored 20 points on 5-of-6 shooting for Boston (19-8, 12-2 Patriot League). D.J. Irving scored 14 points, and Watson added 12 for the Terriers.

Jordan Latham scored 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Loyola (10-15, 5-9).  Eric Laster added 18 points.
