Panel On Military Infrastructure To Meet In Maryland

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland panel that focuses on the needs of military installations in the state is meeting.

The secretary of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development is scheduled to release an economic impact study of Maryland's military installations during the meeting on Monday at Fort Meade. The study is based on federal fiscal year 2013 data.

Rep. John Sarbanes also is scheduled to address members of the Maryland Military Installation Council at the meeting.

The council focuses on public infrastructure and community support that is needed for the development and expansion of military installations in Maryland. The council also considers potential impact of development and expansion on local communities.
