Report: Owners Selling Part of Pimlico Race Course

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Part of the Pimlico Race Course could have a new owner in the future.

According to our media partner the Baltimore Sun, the Maryland Jockey Club is planning to sell part of its Pamlico Race Course property to Life Bridge's Sinai Hospital.

The deal comes while questions remain about the future of horse racing at the site.

The hospital, who gas used the property for employee parking for more than 10 years, will gain about 20 acres of the property.

The Stronach Group, which owns the Jockey Club tells the Sun that Sinai has been using the site for free and after considering its finances they decided to rent or sell the property, saying that it was not related to questions about moving the Preakness.
