Police: Student Cut At Owings Mills HS Was Self-Inflicted

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police now say a student who was cut at Owings Mills High School Tuesday morning was injured as a result of a self-inflicted wound.

At 9:19 a.m. Tuesday, police and fire units were dispatched to the school for a report of an injured student, according to Baltimore County Schools.

Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old male student had been cut with a sharp object.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A music teacher saw the 11th grade student on the second floor of the school staggering, and went to assist him.

When the teacher got to the student, the teacher realized he was injured and walked him to the nurses' office, where they called 911.

Following an investigation by Baltimore County PD, police determined the student's injuries were self-inflicted.

There were no disruptions to classes.
