14 Injured After Bus Overturns On I-295

ANNE ARUNDEL CO., Md. (WJZ) -- More than a dozen people were injured after a school bus carrying musicians from New York overturned on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway on Sunday.

Anne Arundel County Fire spokesperson Captain Russ Davies said the accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. when the bus -- which was traveling to Washington, D.C. -- lost control and went off the parkway into an embankment.

Twelve patients were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Three men were transported to Shock Trauma with serious injuries and nine others were transported with minor injuries.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

U.S. Park Police are investigating the accident.
