Police Investigating After Dump Truck Overturns On Outer Loop I-695 Tuesday Afternoon
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A serious crash involving a dump truck left one person hospitalized caused major traffic delays during the beginning of rush hour on the beltway.
Maryland State Police were on the scene of the accident on the outer loop of I-695 prior to I-70 in Baltimore County where a dump truck overturned on its side and spilled gravel over the highway.
The driver of the dump truck was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Chopper 13 was over the scene:
All but one lane was closed while crews cleaned up the mess.
Maryland State Police tweeted that the dump truck was righted and towed off.
Troopers at the scene on the outer loop of I-695 near I-70 report the dump truck has been righted. Tow truck is on-scene to remove it. @MDSHA will then work to remove gravel from the roadway. Despite efforts, expect lane closures and delays through rush hour.

The backup appeared to be past Greenspring Avenue.
Police said that the investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
