Orioles To Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of 1966 World Series On July 8

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- To commemorate the anniversary, the Orioles will wear 1966 replica throwback uniforms and will welcome back sixteen members of the 1966 World Series team on Friday, July 8, during a pregame ceremony when the Orioles host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Oriole Park at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the pregame video will begin at approximately 6:00 p.m., detailing the Orioles' 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1966 Fall Classic.

During the game, the Orioles will wear 1966 replica throwback uniforms featuring a patch celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the 1966 World Series victory.

All fans in attendance on July 8 will receive a 1966 50^th anniversary-themed Orioles T-shirt and will enjoy fireworks set to hit songs from 1966 following the game.

The Orioles will continue the 50^th Anniversary celebration with a 1966 Jim Palmer replica jersey giveaway, presented by UMBC, for the first 20,000 fans 15 and over on July 24, when the Orioles host the Cleveland Indians at 1:35 p.m.
