Orioles Slugger Davis Set To Return Tuesday From Suspension

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis is set to return to the lineup after sitting out opening day because of a drug suspension.

Davis drew a 25-game penalty last year for using amphetamines without a prescription.

Davis served his final day Monday in the Orioles' regular season opener at Tampa Bay.

Baltimore will make a corresponding move before Tuesday night's game with the Rays to clear a 25-man roster spot for Davis.

The Orioles made a couple moves Monday, purchasing the contract of catcher Ryan Lavarnway and designating right-hander Ryan Webb for assignment.
